Monday Moments Of Me

     Oh Friends! You will never guess what I, Micah Carling received for Easter from my ever so thoughtful husband!!! I was so excited I was jumping up and down and just could not stand myself. When I saw the ribbon which was so eloquently tied around the square, navy, heavy yet delicate box I started squealing with excitement as I was pretty sure what was inside. I quickly untied the silky ribbon, opened the box and found another square, navy, heavy yet delicate box. Ahhh! The anticipation is killing me but I am definitely taking in the beauty of the packaging which is adding so much emotion and happiness to this moment. I quickly opened that box and there it was...the ring I have dreamed about for months. A Chopard Ring. OH. MY. GOSH. It is breathtaking.
     Last month at WPPI, the wedding photographers convention I attended that I briefly spoke of a couple "Monday Moments Of Me" ago is where I fell in love with this ring. It is part of Chopard's happy diamonds collection, Very Chopard line. This ring is heavy, which I love because I feel like I am wearing the "real deal" you know? Like a timepiece, something I am going to pass down to my own daughter someday. It is heart shaped which adds so much more meaning in my eyes! Also, 18k gold! Yea, baby!! A singular diamond floats and spins freely between 2 sapphire crystals.
      This beauty was at the Chopard Boutique inside The Wynn in Las Vegas. I wanted it so bad. Like REALLY bad. So bad I could see myself wearing it and walking out with it on. My husband could tell how bad I wanted it too. I left the shop without it though because I could not justify the price. I did not need it...that money could go towards new camera equipment...that money could go in my investments...that money could go towards another vacation...I can not spend that kind of money on myself...you know, all the excuses we come up with. I am sure you can relate, right?
     Well, to my surprise, I received it as my Easter gift! Am I spoiled or what?! My husband needs some kind of certificate for his amazingness (is that a word?) haha. Truly, he is so good to me, I love him so so much. Thank You Babe for making this 2015 Easter SO Memorable.

Very Chopard Ring
