Jared and Kasie

These two!

     Jared and Kasie met at Carey's Bar in South Dakota (their current place of residence.)

Jared worked there and Kasie came in on graduation night in a cute gray dress and when Jared laid eyes on her "it was all but official" he says "she was rockin that gray dress."

     Kasie noticed Jared as well and wonders why it took him so long to ask the "should we make this official" question. So, doing what Kasie does...before he even had the chance to take her on a first date...she left the country to give him time to miss her and to think about "them" as a couple.

     She could not return soon enough in Jared's mind and as soon as she got back he finally and officially asked her out on their first date! They had lunch at Main Street Pub and some drinks at Carey's Bar. 

     Jared knew it was time to ask Kasie to be his wife. So guess what Kasie does?! Leaves the country...haha. She went on a study tour in Israel for a couple weeks. A couple weeks too long for Jared. On the second day of Kasie being gone, Jared knew that as soon as she got back in the country he was going to ask her to be his wife! He could not wait any longer.

     Once Jared decided this though, Kasie's dog Frazier got loose in the evening time. Jared was frantic, looking everywhere and came up empty handed. His thoughts were now "I don't know if I can ask Kasie to marry me now, will she even say yes? She loves this dog as much as anything." Jared couldn't even sleep, he was so frantic about the situation. Fortunately the "mutt" as Jared says haha found his way home and was waiting for breakfast at the back gate in the morning! Crisis averted.

     The day has come and Kasie is coming home! Well, Jared received news about flight complications and Kasie was bumped from her original flight and will now be hours later than first scheduled. Jared is heart broken, he has waited 2 weeks to see his love and ask her to be his wife and now these added hours are crushing him.

     Jared says "it was all worth it in the end." As Kasie was walking past security and up the ramp where Jared met her they exchanged a long hug and welcome home and immediately Jared got down on one knee, grabbed Kasie's hand and "completely botched the speech I had been preparing, despite the extra time from flight complications" Jared says and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together.

     Kasie said "Of course I will."
