Since moving back in July (In Arizona, what was I thinking?!) I have been excited for December to come. Why? It is my favorite month of the year and I knew we (My husband and I + the dog and cat hehe) were going to get a REAL Christmas tree. A REAL Christmas Tree!!!!!
It is my first ever real Christmas tree. I was so excited I couldn't wait to get it home, put it in the stand, put on a Christmas movie, string the lights and decorate it. I love staring at the beautiful glow of the lights and smelling the scent of our tree. This is wonderful. December is going to be fantastic, I can feel it!
WARNING! Lots of pictures below!
We used ornaments I already had. So next year, the tree topper will be upgraded! This star was from my mini 10" fake tree I have use the past 10 years. Yes, sad I know.
Arizona melted snowman! My mom made these for years when I was growing up and they were hot sellers in her famous The Barn Boutique
My mom taught me how to work, be pro active, be an entrepreneur and make money. These little mangers are what I made and sold in her famous The Barn Boutique for years :)
This metal silhouette was a gift and It is so beautiful!
I call this guy "Telly." He was my FAVORITE toy when I was younger. So when I found a Christmas ornament of him I was giddy with excitement and HAD to have him!
This manger scene was also a gift. It is made in Bethlehem and is out of Olive Wood.
A metal snowoman! My mom and I made these a few years ago and I am glad I kept one
for myself. . . it is so darn cute.
Yes, you guessed it. A PANDORA ornament :) I have gotten the ornament they give out at Christmas time the past 2 years. . . will I get one this year?! They are gorgeous.
This golden ship ornament is from my Grandma. She gave it to me in 1994. I have kept it nicely wrapped and in a box in my cedar chest for years. She had a whole Christmas tree in her home dedicated to her gold plated ornaments from the Danbury Mint. She purchased new ones each year for her kids. One year I was lucky enoug to receive one as well :)
The way she spoke about them, handled them and adored them is instilled in me as well. The intricate detail in these is truly breathtaking.
A snowman key. Another original made by my mother. She is such a creative!
A snowman tag! Another original made by my mother. I love all her handmade ornaments. Looking at each one brings different memories and I love it.
