Monday Moments Of Me
Alright everybody, now that we were able to take a look at the inspiration to this journey last week, lets take a step back and look at the basic building block, the foundation to the journey!Every journey has to start somewhere and mine starts with the traditional, sterling silver bracelet. With the foundation set; only my memories, my dreams, my imagination and creativeness is holding me back. Which "the sky is the limit" so to speak right?! Endless possibilities is what is so flawlessly amazing about this journey of mine.
What will the next charm be and why? What will the bracelet look like once filled? What will I do once it is full? When I ask these questions of myself I can not help but relate it to life.
What will be the next memory in my life and why? What will my life have looked like once I am gone? The answers to these make me think. Think deep. I genuinely hope that I touch others lives for the better and have a positive effect, whether it is a smile or a simple hello or being a shoulder to cry on if needed. Honestly, it all boils down to my grandma again, because she always built me up, never an unkind word. Only positive reinforcements and encouraging words and hugs. She had a quote on her fridge for a long time that I think about often...it was printed on a photo of a baseball player skidding in to home plate that read "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow, what a ride!" -Anonymous-
I love this quote. This is what I hope to feel life at the end of my life's literal journey.
Can you believe all these thoughts come from just wearing my building block (bracelet) to this ride called life? It is amazing what you can discover about oneself when given time to just stop, take a deep breath and really think about what life is about and what is the drive to get us up and out of bed with a smile and ready to say "wow, what a ride!"
