Monday Moments Of Me #105

This past Saturday February 11, 2017 I was asked to photograph a funeral. My first reaction way
No Way! I gave it some thought and agreed to go ahead and give it a try for 2 reasons...
1. The funeral was for my husband's grandpa.
2. I did not want to deny family the memories I could capture for them to treasure.

I was out of my realm and felt awkward at first but as time went on through out the day, I began enjoying taking images knowing when these family members look back on these photos for years to come, they are going to remember this day, remember how they felt, remember who was there with all their love and support and remember memories they have of this great man who has left the earth.

At the burial, there was military honors because this great man was a Purple Heart Veteran of WWII.
It was amazing to witness.
